If you’ve been shopping around for an inexpensive gaming laptop, today is your lucky day. Walmart’s selling the MSI Thin GF63 gaming laptop for just $629, which is an absolutely rock-bottom price for a notebook with a discrete graphics card.
The MSI Thin GF63 features an Intel Core i5-11400H CPU, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 GPU, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, and 512GB of NVMe SSD storage. The CPU and GPU are entry-level gaming options from older generations, but this machine should nonetheless blaze through most games on the Medium or High graphics preset. However, we’d recommend dialing some graphics options back on newer, more intensive games. The 15.6-inch display has a resolution of 1920×1080 and a refresh rate of 144Hz for buttery smooth gameplay.
The laptop itself weighs just 4.1 pounds, which is lightweight for a gaming machine. Most gaming laptops are beast-like, often tipping the scales at six pounds or more. Not this one!
This is an early Black Friday deal, so you better swoop in sooner rather than later! If you’re looking for a little more graphics firepower, Costco’s selling the HP Victus for $999.99, which is a savings of $400 and another absolutely killer deal for a gaming laptop. Its Core i7 chip and RTX 4060 GPU should chew through games even on the highest graphics settings without issue — though for significantly more cash than this ludicrously affordable MSI offering.
