If you’re in the market for an affordable gaming laptop, you’ve come to the right place. Dell’s selling the G16 Gaming Laptop for $949.99, which is a massive savings of $450. This laptop comes with an RTX 3060 GPU as well as 1TB of SSD storage. That’s a good price for the hardware. It also has a pretty diverse and ample port selection, which is an absolute must in my book, especially for gaming laptops. Adapters are just extra hardware and work, another thing you have to deal with, so it’s nice not needing one.
The G16 Gaming Laptop features an Intel Core i7-12700H CPU, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 GPU, 16GB of RAM, and 1TB of SSD storage. That’s enough oomph to run most modern games on the Medium or High graphics preset. However, for newer titles, you may want to dial the graphics back. The 16-inch display has a resolution of 2560×1600 and a refresh rate of 165Hz. That means you can expect buttery smooth visuals. As for connectivity options, you’re getting one headphone and microphone combo, one RJ45, three USB 3.2 Gen 1, one HDMI 2.1, and one Thunderbolt 4 with DisplayPort. You should have no problem plugging into an external monitor or mouse if need be.
