It’s not hard to find a cheap monitor, particularly if you’re okay with the bog-standard 24-inch, 1080p variety. But Dell’s monitors are pretty great, even their cheap ones, and this model breaks from the pack with a larger 27-inch screen, sharper 1440p resolution, and color-accurate IPS display panel. And today, it’s on sale for just $149.99 directly from Dell’s web store, a $110 savings.
If this monitor looks familiar, it should: It’s an updated version of one that we’ve recommended as a deal before. That model is actually the one I’m looking at right now, typing up this story, and you can get the newer 2023 variant for a sweet price today. I really dig the thin bezels and VESA mount compatibility, which make it a great fit for multi-monitor setups, and it can switch between multiple inputs at once with its DisplayPort and dual HDMI ports.
The Dell SE2723DS is meant for basic tasks, so it won’t keep up with high-framerate gaming or eye-popping OLED colors. But at this price it’s still a fantastic deal for a monitor with extra space and resolution — it can even handle some graphic design thanks to that IPS panel. Note that unlike previous models, Dell has dropped the tiny 3-watt speakers, which frankly weren’t worth using anyway. You can still output your audio with a built-in headset jack.
