This Acer Nitro 5 comes with 1TB of SSD storage, so you’ll have plenty of space for your ever-growing games library, and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 GPU, which offers a good amount of graphics power. The Intel Core i7-12650H CPU is a few generations old at this point, but it’s perfectly serviceable and provides reliable performance.
Given the hardware inside, the Acer Nitro 5 is able to run most modern games on Medium to High graphics settings. You may need to dial back the graphics on more intensive titles, but that shouldn’t be often.
The 15.6-inch display is quite good as well with its 1920×1080 resolution and 144Hz max refresh rate. (1080p is fine for most games and the 144Hz refresh rate should keep everything looking nice and smooth, which is important if you play action games like Fortnite or Doom Eternal.)
The backlit keyboard has four zones and the cooling systems are efficient with dual fans and intakes as well as a quad-exhaust port design. Speaking of ports, you’re getting a ton useful options: USB 3.2 (Gen 1 and 2), HDMI 2.1, Ethernet (RJ-45), a DC-In jack for the AC adapter, and a headphone/speaker/line-out jack.
